Kindergarten Game Project Proposal

Background

These days, the number of children that do not receive proper education is not small. The game that we are making is intended to help those children to at least be able to receive a small portion of essential education that the children need. The user, in this case the children since the application is a game for kids, will be given a goal to be achieved. The players will learn the mentioned kind of education as they play through the game.

Persona

Primary target of the application that we make is mainly for kindergarten kids and/or those with the same age group. We develop an application that will be beneficial for those age group, increasing their academic and cognitive abilities.

 

Overview

The first idea that came up to our minds was a game to solve basic mathematical problems. The idea eventually faded as we brainstormed to make a game that is not only educating but also a game that would entertain the children too.

Wilson (my teammate) and I then scribbled to make some rough plan and design about our game.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The idea of our game is to provide a story-based game that gives an objective, that is saving a princess, to the children so they will be motivated in completing the game. On the way of saving the princess, the user will experience several encounters with those who need help and help them. During those encounters, we implemented educative puzzles which cover aspects like: counting, direction, shapes, animal sounds, animal diets, maze, vocabulary, colors, and singing.

 

Environment

In the making of the game, we will use Construct 2 as the game maker engine, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator as the designing tools, and some other sources as our references.
